What we build
Basement Remodeling features we design and build in Arlington Heights
Every basement remodel is planned as one integrated project rather than a sequence of separate trades.
Family and media rooms
Open lower-level living space planned around seating, sightlines, acoustics and the mechanical runs that cannot move.
Home theaters
Dedicated theater rooms with tiered seating, soffit and lighting design, and wiring routed before the ceiling closes.
Wet bars and kitchenettes
Secondary bars with refrigeration, sinks, dishwashers and real storage, plumbed and vented as part of the original design.
Guest and in-law suites
Bedrooms with code-compliant egress, closets and adjacent bathrooms, planned so the lower level works for long stays.
Lower-level bathrooms
Full and three-quarter baths below grade, including sewage ejector routing and the waterproofing details that sit behind the tile.
Home gyms
Reinforced flooring, mirrors, ventilation and dedicated circuits sized for equipment before the space is framed.
Moisture and waterproofing
Drainage, vapor management and material choices resolved against the home’s actual moisture history rather than assumed dry.
Ceiling height and mechanicals
Ductwork, plumbing and beams re-routed or soffited so finished height stays usable across the whole footprint.
Storage and utility zones
Mechanical rooms, seasonal storage and access panels planned into the layout instead of left over at the end.
Arlington Heights specifics
What makes basement remodeling in Arlington Heights different
Single-family homes across a wide range of price points, plus condos and townhomes
The basement is unused square footage
Most Arlington Heights homes have between 700 and 1,400 square feet of lower-level space currently used as storage. A finished basement adds a real room to the house (family use, office, or guest) without expanding the footprint above grade.
You need a guest room without an addition
A basement bedroom and bathroom solve the guest-room problem in a compact Arlington Heights home without building up or out. Feasibility depends on ceiling height and egress options.
Existing finished basement feels wet or dated
Lower levels finished in a previous decade often have low ceilings, poor lighting, and lingering moisture. A re-remodel reworks the framing, drainage, and lighting plan rather than resurfacing over the same conditions.
You want a separated home office or rec space
Lower levels work well for home offices and rec rooms because they separate work or leisure from the household noise on the main floor. Acoustic, lighting, and HVAC planning make the difference.

FAQ
Basement Remodeling in Arlington Heights: common questions
How long does a basement remodel take in Arlington Heights?
The current planning range for basement remodeling in Arlington Heights is 8–16 weeks for construction and 12–24 weeks from design through completion. Adding a bathroom, kitchenette, moisture remediation, or structural work affects the schedule. The project schedule is confirmed after design, selections, and scope are defined.
Do you handle waterproofing as part of a Arlington Heights basement remodel?
Yes. In Arlington Heights lower levels, waterproofing, drainage, vapor barriers, and moisture-appropriate material selection are scoped as part of the design. A finished basement that skips moisture work fails eventually, so we treat it as a foundational decision rather than an add-on.
Do you handle permits for basement work in Arlington Heights?
Yes. Village of Arlington Heights Building and Life Safety Department (847-368-5560), filed through the Village's online Civic Access Portal. Arlington Heights straddles Cook and Lake Counties, which matters for permits on parcels near the county line. Egress windows, electrical service upgrades, and bathroom additions require permits and inspections. We manage every submission and inspection.
Can you add a full bathroom to a Arlington Heights basement?
Yes, in most Arlington Heights homes. Plumbing routing depends on the existing waste line elevation and may require an ejector pump. We confirm feasibility during the design phase before the bathroom is locked into the floor plan.

The team was professional, efficient, and the result exceeded our expectations. Solid 5/5 stars for their expertise. If you're thinking bathroom remodels, DELTA is the way to go!
Trust worthy and reliable. They made are home renovation stress fee
Delta remodeling did an amazing job on our bathroom remodel! Kasia and her entire crew of workers were friendly and pleasant to work with. She was always available, and addressed any of my questions or concerns immediately through text or phone calls. Any design questions that I had for her were answered with photo examples to give a better idea of what it would look like. This made all of the decisions quick and easy. Janusz and his attention to details is very obvious in his work. We are very impressed by how everything turned out. Arek the electrician also did an amazing job, and he was very accommodating. We would definitely use Delta Remodeling again!
We love our revamped kitchen! The company delivered on time, within budget, and with friendly, knowledgeable staff.
From planning to finish, a seamless process. Our bathroom is not just renovated, it's transformed. A++ service,
The bathroom remodel was a fantastic experience. The company's expertise and design suggestions created a stunning transformation.
Our bathroom is now a sanctuary thanks to their stunning design and flawless execution. A five-star experience.
I am extremely happy with the bathroom remodel. The team was professional, efficient, and delivered exceptional results.
I hired Delta to remodel my Kitchen and Dining room after evaluating several companies in this space including big names. From the start I found Kasia very transparent on pricing and services while also being realistic about what was possible within my budget. The crew was very professional, communicative about scheduling, provided options when challenges arose and ultimately were concerned about my happiness with the outcome. While it’s tough to go through a full Kitchen remodel I’m extremely happy with the the results. I took a very outdated look and layout and with the help of Delta made it a space I love to cook and entertain in. I was so happy with the results I hired Delta again to remodel 3 of my bathrooms.
We worked with Kasia initially on our master bathroom. By the time they had put tile in, I’d already decided I wanted to hire her for our second bathroom Reno, and any of our demo projects moving forward (kitchen was next)! Kasia is very straight to the point, and she is upfront about pricing from the get go. Any add ons we wanted she was able to give a reasonable quote right away, and any hiccups we ran into she was always transparent with. Chris, and the rest of her team, are very respectful when working in your home. They took measures to protect the flooring, along with cleaning up at the end of each day to help keep your home as put together as possible. Kasia has a great taste for design, and will give her honest opinion on picking out materials without being pushy. We received 4-5 different quotes on our project, and I absolutely think their pricing structure is reasonable for the area. Additionally, we had completed multiple major renovations with our house prior, between 2-3 other companies. Hands down, Kasia and her team provided the highest quality work, and attention to detail. I’m very happy with the way our projects turned out, and would 100% recommend!!
They did a beautiful job on our bathroom remodel! It looks exactly like we envisioned and they were very collaborative and communicative throughout the whole process
